Qantas Travel Money is a prepaid Mastercard® payment facility built into the back of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Membership Card. To be eligible to receive the Qantas Card with the option of Qantas Travel Money you must be an Australian resident Qantas Frequent Flyer member 16 years of age or older. EML Payment Solutions Limited ('EML') ABN 30 131 436 532, AFSL 404131 (the Issuer) issues Qantas Travel Money under arrangements between it, Qantas Airways Limited (AFS representative number 261363) and Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd (AFSL 386837) (a Mastercard business). Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd distributes Qantas Travel Money (together with Qantas which is an authorised representative of Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd for the purposes of providing general financial product advice with respect to Qantas Travel Money).
Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd and Qantas earn foreign exchange revenue from Qantas Travel Money transactions. Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd receives a processing fee from domestic Qantas Travel Money "point of sale" transactions. Qantas receives revenue generated by Qantas Travel Money transactions based on interchange fees paid to the Issuer, deposits held by the Issuer, cardholder fee and certain rebates and incentives from Mastercard Asia Pacific/Pte Ltd.

Membership and the earning and redemption of Qantas Points are subject to the Qantas Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions. Eligible purchases exclude, but is not limited to, money orders, traveller’s cheques, gambling chips or purchasing foreign currencies in cash. You do not earn Qantas Points when loading funds to your facility, transferring funds to another currency balance or another member’s facility or when withdrawing funds from ATMs or cashing out your facility balance. Purchases that are reversed, refunded or charged-back are also ineligible for Qantas Points earn, in addition to fees incurred. Qantas Points are earned as follows: 1.5 Qantas Points per AU$1 spent in foreign currency and 1 Qantas Point per AU$4 spent in Australian dollars. Qantas Points are calculated using the Qantas Travel Money Daily Rate as defined in the PDS, and may vary daily. Qantas Travel Money is unable to be used for purchases related to gambling or adult entertainment. Currently Qantas Travel Money cannot be used in the following countries and geographical regions due to sanctions that are currently in place: Crimea, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Donetsk and Luhansk. If you attempt to withdraw cash from an ATM or use your Card at merchants in any of these countries and geographical regions, your request will be declined. Additionally, all Mastercards will not work at Russian merchants or ATMs. In addition, ATMs or POS terminals may not be owned or operated by the Issuer or Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd and the Issuer and Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd are not responsible for ensuring that merchants will accept the Qantas Travel Money card. For example, the Issuer and Mastercard Prepaid Management Services Australia Pty Ltd cannot control when an ATM or POS terminal is due for maintenance or is faulty or if a merchant chooses not to accept the Qantas Travel Money card. Exchange rates for initial loads and subsequent reloads made using Bank Transfer, BPAY or Instant Load via qantastravelmoney.com will be set at the prevailing exchange rate set out at qantastravelmoney.com at the time you request the load provided the transaction is settled within four hours. Different exchange rates apply for loads initiated directly via Bank Transfer or BPAY using your Unique Payment Details (i.e. not via qantastravelmoney.com). If you initiate a load or reload via Bank Transfer or BPAY using your Unique Payment Details, the exchange rate applied will be the prevailing exchange rate at the time the funds are received into your facility. A foreign exchange rate will apply to foreign exchange transactions in accordance with clause 7 of Part B of the Qantas Travel Money PDS which can be found here.
Some ATM operators may charge a withdrawal fee. In addition, if relevant a foreign exchange rate may be applied in accordance with clause 7 of Part B of the Qantas Travel Money PDS which can be found here.

Maximum cash you can withdraw over the counter at a financial institution in any 24 hour period. Some financial institutions may set their own withdrawal limits which may be lower than this limit.

To earn bonus Qantas Points, register for this offer and load between 11th December 2023, 09:00am (AEDT) and 10 January 2024, 11:59pm (AEDT). Note, payment for load transactions using BPAY® or Bank Transfer will take additional time to settle and be eligible for bonus points if funds clear within 3 business days. Transactions loaded directly in foreign currency during the offer period will receive 3 bonus Qantas Points per AU$1 equivalent, points will be awarded on the single highest transaction to a maximum of 10,000 bonus Qantas Points. Promotional Foreign Exchange rates available between 11 December 2023, 09:00am (AEDT) and 10 January 2024, 11:59pm (AEDT) (“Promotion Period”). The Qantas Travel Money promotional rates are preferential exchange rates compared to the standard rates offered on the ten Qantas Travel Money supported foreign currencies for each respective day during the Promotion Period. You must load directly into foreign currency to take advantage of the promotional rates. The promotional rates are not available for currency to currency or card to card transfers. Due to constant market and currency fluctuations, the promotional rates may be adjusted daily during the promotion period but will always be preferential to the standard Qantas Travel Money rates which would have been offered for each respective day during the Promotion Period.
